Did you know that echocardiograms are recommended as a baseline study for all patients suffering from Hypertension or High Blood Pressure? Screening ultrasounds for Aortic Aneurysms are also suggested for evaluation of men over the age of 55 with a significant history of tobacco use. Having abdominal pain? It could be your gallbladder sending you a message. Gallbladder disease can be easily diagnosed by abdominal ultrasound. Ultrasound studies can be extremely useful for both screening and diagnostic purposes and, for an added convenience for our patients; we are now performing on-site ULTRASOUND services! Studies include echocardiograms, vascular studies, as well as abdominal and pelvic ultrasounds! Now there is no need to spend extra time going from office to office seeing specialists since we can do many of the same studies right here at Norterra Family Medicine!
